Day 4

Yoga today. It was fun and the first time I ever attempted yoga. I feel energetic afterwards and during it was relaxing.

Now it wasn't easy by any means, So if you're a beginner like I was take your time and remember form is everything.

Day 3

Shoulders biceps and triceps.  Hard freaking routine!  I had to drop my weight load three times.

it was nuts, I did stuff I thought was easy but I need to check my ego.

I like it because you're constantly moving and working. It's crazy and Tony reminds you form and control are everything.

After three days every part of my body is sore. The food ideas on the nutrition guide are great and I can't think of anything else right now.

Day 1

So I have read tons of reviews and we have all seen the infomercials. I promise that I am in no way compensated for my thoughts here. I truthfully thought it was just a way for people who didn't want to go to the gym to workout. And well, after day 1 I can admit that is a bunch of noise!

I will get more in depth on that later; first the what's in the box. You really get all they promise! I received for the easy payment plan (3 payments) the dvd's totaling 12, nutrition guide (with recipes), and the how to book. OK! I want to stop right here for a minute, remember this part, a HOW TO BOOK! Moving on... I also received a lot of "offers" and fillers from their partners such as supplements.

More jargon before I get the workouts. When you order you get tossed all kinds of free offers, read the fine print you must call to cancel. I didn't partake of any of the offers because I didn't want to call in to cancel. But if you want to it is good to purchase because you can help maximize your results. However I will say that you can get the same supplements at half the price else where.

So my previous point, the HOW TO BOOK! I read in several of the negative interviews about P90X that the workouts just jump right in to it with no warning or how to perform the workout section. BULL CRAP! The book tells you how to do the workouts. The problem is either those people either didn't read it all, because it is in the back, or they pirated the DVD's via torrents and even still on the DVD's he, Tony, tells you how to do them and to take your time form is everything.

Enough already tell me! I had reconstructive knee surgery 4 months ago and I am done with not exercising so I started the program. I used to workout on my own and I had good results but after hearing a P90X grad who had similar injuries mention how this replaced his therapy.

Ok so day 1 was brutal, I kept form and found my "X" point. I knew where my no passing point was, I didn't heed the warnings Tony put forth. DO NOT LET YOUR EGO DO THE WORKOUT.

When you do the chest and back workout, especially with a weak knee, know your limits and focus on form! "Quality not quantity" - Tony Horton. Day 1 is all about pushups, pullups and a few weight exercises. After it follows with AB Ripper X, if you purchase it. I think it comes standard right now "free" with purchase (VIA promo). I did take a before Picture and no I wont post it until After the 90 days.

In all day 1 was nuts! I am stoked for day 2. Read the book and remember rest and nutrition are key to success in this, aside from being committed to it.

So i moved

I moved from tumblr back to blogger. Check out the challenge of p90x I'm on.
