Kenpo X. Today I really didn't want to work out. I barely made it through work but when I got home I tried to relax, played with my kids. Had dinner then I popped in the DVD and went at it. I hate the fact I have limited to no strength in my leg because it makes doing what I need to do and giving 100 + % almost impossible.
Either way, I rocked it out. My range of motion is getting better and I feel like the strength is improving. I know it is going to take some time and I need to just let nature take its course with rebuilding my leg muscle and strength. Doctor says it takes about 1 month to add 1 inch back to your leg muscle. So I figure busting Kenpo X and the other leg crushers will help that process.
Kenpo Review, sorry about that. So the routines are fairly straight forward but complex in the movement of leg, hip and arm. People say it is too easy, I say they are doing it wrong. You need to move with Tony and the group.
If you are getting through this without breaking a sweat then you are not moving your hips. It is a fun and fast paced workout. Take note of the method and movements, read the book first get the basic moves down. Watch the first few minutes of each section to get the routine down.

Day 5
As previously mentioned in other posts I am recovering from reconstructive knee surgery and the muscles in my leg are weak to borderline nonexistent. As fate would have it today was leg and back day, and man it was killer. The workouts are good and I looked forward all weak to it because legs have been my favorite for some time but the lack of muscle makes the workout incredibly difficult.
The good news is Tony continues to remind you that if you have knee issues, injuries or just can't do it remember form and quality not QUANTITY. I love his positive attitude and today I needed that push, that motivation. I was tired, stressed and just not in the mood to workout. My leg was killing me and I felt like I was wasting my time since these exercises are for people in better condition. Then I remembered there was a guy with a prosthetic leg doing the routines on DVD #2 so I have no room for complaining.
The leg and back routines are insane, they are simple in concept but when you are tired and running on fumes the workouts are tough and just amazing. You really do have to give it your all and then some more. I find myself forgetting to count and I miss writing down the success and failures of the reps at times. So remember to do that.
All in all it was a great day, plus I can see changes all ready. Nothing drastic but my flexibility in my leg (post surgery) is increasing, I think Yoga helped that. I am less stressed and I have well, lets just say there are other areas I am improving in. My favorite area of improvement is playing with my daughter. I can pick her up and have fun with her again. So thanks Tony and thanks BeachBody.com!
